Analyze how you’ve adapted to the demands of this course over the past week, and evaluate one strength and one challenge you anticipate as we progress, justifying your insights with personal examples.

Over the past week, I have adapted fairly well to the demands of this course. I have learned how to analyze an origin myth. I anticipate encountering a strength and a weakness along the way. One strength I plan on encountering is my ability to connect themes and lessons from myths to broader cultural values and personal experiences, which will help me think more deeply. One weakness I expect to face is sometimes struggling to organize all of my ideas clearly, but I will work on improving that through practice and feedback.

Today is class we took an assessment on origin myths.

It gave me a chance to show what I’ve learned about analyzing their elements, themes, and cultural lessons. I felt more confident because I’ve been practicing how to connect the stories to their deeper meanings.
