 Jealousy negatively affected my relationship with my coach. When I was on a team in the summer for the sport I play, I got good playing time. Then someone who was better than me or who I thought was better than me came and tried to take my spot. I would constantly compete with him at everything I could or got a chance to. When we had a game and we got the starting lineup, he was playing, and I wasn't. I was mad and also confused because I thought I was so much better than him. I asked my coach if he was playing over me, and he told me he was just resting me for the more important game later on.

Today, we read about a passage that talked about a jealous father and the negative impacts.

This impacted me, so I know not to make the same mistake that I might have in the past.
