After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

I faced a high-pressure situation that demanded my complete focus while pitching the final inning of a close baseball game. Our slim one-run lead, coupled with two outs and runners on base, ratcheted up the tension significantly. Feeling the weight of the moment and knowing a single error could cost us the victory, I took a deliberate, deep breath. I managed to tune out all the surrounding noise, locking my attention solely on the catcher's mitt. This unwavering concentration paid off, allowing me to deliver a perfect strike to secure the final out and win the game.

Summary: Today in class we went over the poem "Out, Out" by Robert Frost and annotated it.

Reflection: I learned more about Robert Frost and got to analyze one of his pieces of poetry that I had never read before.
