Write about a conversation that changed you.

A conversation that changed me happened with my old baseball coach after a particularly rough game where my performance was disappointing. He kept everything unflinchingly honest, telling me I was relying too much on natural talent and not enough on the daily, boring grind of discipline. It was truly eye-opening because nobody had ever talked to me about the mental commitment required to succeed at the collegiate level. I now realize it was the most important conversation I needed to have to fully appreciate the unseen work necessary to truly make it. I'm incredibly appreciative that he was upfront and honest, sacrificing my immediate comfort for my long-term potential.

Summary: Today we did a worksheet creating our own claims and opposing claims. We also supported them with evidence and explained it.

Reflection: I learned how to pull evidence from a text and connect it to my claim effectively.
